Position

Ramona builds advanced computational microscopes that acquire uniquely rich image data. We build tools to enable customers to define how that data is captured and processed. We are looking for engineers who understand what it means to discover, build, and iterate on products that power our customers’ use cases.

We are looking for engineers excited about image processing - taking the rich data that is captured by our systems and synthesizing it down to what’s useful.  You will be working on problems from the top of the image data funnel,  where our focus is on retention of quality data and compression of low-value data, to the end of the funnel, where we take images and convert them into quantified metrics. Our engineering team is driven by building, testing, and iterating quickly. We are looking for engineers motivated by working with the team to define goals and use cases, building and shipping the MVP, gathering feedback, and making progress toward a functional product.

What Gets You Excited

• Developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining image analysis software
• Building image analysis pipelines for real-time interaction analysis
• Developing solutions for a user experience that includes installation, use, and updates
• Optimizing computational pipelines to ensure optimal split between CPU computation, GPU computation, and cloud computation
• Object detection, signal processing, and image compression for large data sets
• Optimizing software to be functional across different platforms including Linux, Windows, and OSX

What Gets Us Excited

• 3-5 years experience in industry building and iterating on image processing software
• Fluency in bash, Python, C/C++, OpenGL., Qt, collaboration through git, and parallel computation
• Ability to seamless work in Linux and Windows
• Ability to communicate the importance of one’s work to a diverse team
• Ability to automate tests to ensure longevity of design and resilience to unintended change
