Position

As our first dedicated marketing hire, the Director of Marketing will play a foundational role in shaping Ramona’s brand, growing awareness, and generating pipeline through high-impact, full-funnel marketing initiatives.

In this role, you will take ownership of brand strategy, content, demand generation, events, and digital marketing—while building a high-performance marketing engine that supports both near-term revenue goals and long-term category leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brand Strategy and Positioning: Define and elevate Ramona’s brand presence across channels. Ensure a consistent, compelling narrative that resonates with life sciences innovators—from researchers to executives.
  • Pipeline Generation: Design and execute integrated marketing programs—across digital, content, field, and partner channels—that generate qualified pipeline and support sales targets.
  • Content and Thought Leadership: Lead development of upper-funnel and buyer-centric content that builds brand and demand—such as case studies, webinars, blog series, reports, and social campaigns. Partner with Product Marketing on technical, product-focused content.
  • Events and Field Marketing: Own trade show strategy, partner events, and Ramona-hosted experiences to drive pipeline and brand awareness with key stakeholders.
  • Performance Marketing: Manage digital channels (LinkedIn, SEM, retargeting), website performance, and marketing analytics to ensure our campaigns are data-driven and optimized for results.
  • Team and Partner Management: Build and lead a small team (including freelancers and agencies), set clear goals, manage budget, and drive accountability across initiatives.

About You

We’re looking for a creative, strategic, and results-oriented marketing leader with a track record of building brand awareness and generating pipeline in B2B or life sciences markets. You thrive at the intersection of storytelling and strategy—and know how to turn bold ideas into measurable results.

Qualifications:

  • Marketing Leadership: Proven success owning brand, demand generation, and campaign strategy in a high-growth B2B or life sciences environment.
  • Customer-Centric Thinking: Deep empathy for our buyer personas—marketers, scientists, and execs—and a passion for creating content and programs that speak to their needs.
  • Content and Campaign Execution: Experience leading the production of blogs, webinars, paid ads, and lifecycle emails—collaborating cross-functionally to drive engagement and conversion.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Skilled at measuring marketing impact through KPIs like pipeline contribution, LinkedIn reach, email performance, and website traffic.
  • Team and Vendor Management: Experience managing internal teams and agency partners to execute campaigns, events, and ongoing programs at scale.
  • New Category or Product Launch Experience: Experience launching new categories or supporting rapid go-to-market motions is a strong plus, signaling readiness for scale and innovation.
